AROBS attended the “Japan Information and Communication Technology” (JICT) economic mission organized through the EU Gateway program in Tokyo, from December 5 to December 9, 2011.
Since Japan is among the IT&C markets with the highest and most sustained growth, AROBS considered this event a great avenue for promoting its services and applications and for establishing long term partnerships with prestigious Japanese companies.
The social events organized by the local Deloitte representatives and market studies on the IT&C sector in Japan gave our executives a glimpse of the Japanese organizational and business culture.
“The Japanese software development market is highly dynamic and competitive. The economic mission gave us excellent opportunities to analyze firsthand the opportunities offered by this market and to establish directions for future joint efforts with Japanese companies, most likely in mobile technologies”, said Voicu Oprean, managing director at AROBS.
The EU Gateway program was started by the European Commission to support companies from the European Union trying to penetrate sectors of the Asian markets (mainly Japan and South Korea) featuring high competition and tight government regulations. To account for the strong barriers to entry of the Japanese IC&T market, the mission’s organizers used strict selection criteria to choose the 40 European companies for the event.
